Cory Distefano
Cory hails from the culturally rich city of New Orleans, LA the birthplace of Jazz. "Growing up in New Orleans I was exposed to just about every style of music...I also had the privilege of being able to play with musicians who were much more established than I was and that proved to be influential in my musical development." Cory received Bachelors Degrees in Jazz Studies and Trumpet Performance from the University of New Orleans under the direction of Ellis Marsalis and later under Terence Blanchard.

Now based out of Nashville, Tennessee, Cory is on tour with multiple award-winning contemporary blues and recording artist Stacy Mitchhart. The band can be seen regularly in downtown Nashville at BB King's as well as a variety of clubs in the Nashville area when not on the road in support of the numerous award winning CD's and DVD.

Cory has played/recorded & toured with many nationally known acts such as multi-platinum recording artist Jessica Simpson, Jewel, Marc Broussard, Larry Braggs, Ann Peebles, Don Bryant, John Rich (Big and Rich), Toby Keith, Eric Heatherly, Don "DC" Curry, Travis Tritt, Luther Kent (Blood Sweat & Tears), Ellis Marsalis, Harold Batiste (Sam Cooke - AFO Records), Marcel Evans & The Drifters, Bobby Lonero (Louis Prima), Saxophone Legend James Rivers, Jazz Pianist Doug Bickel, Mike Zito, & Saxophonist Jon Smith (Edgar Winter, Toto).

Cory currently plays his brand new 1s/2 with a 5" bell.
